The Ethiopian Muslims in the capital Addis Ababa have been rallying for the last several weeks, protesting against government’s flagrant violation of their religious freedom. They are determined to continue their peaceful struggle tenaciously and thus formed an ad-hoc committee to give structure and continuity for their demand. We, the peace-loving Ethiopians, whose names are mentioned here-under, request your government to give a just and immediate response to the following fundamental issues.

The Tunisians, in shaking off a long-standing dictator on January 21, 2011, have inspired the downtrodden and hopeless well beyond their borders. The photograph on this page shows Egyptians applying the Tunisian lessons, just one week later. We can learn a lot from their experiences. Here are some of the lessons:

The Badr Ethiopia administration has just ended its annual leadership retreat conference in its Washington DC headquarters from January 28th through 29th, 2012. The topics discussed included annual review and evaluation of past year’s activities and accomplishments; expansion of ongoing programs that directly and positively impact Ethiopian Muslims at home and abroad; future plans and budgetary means to sustain full-fledged projects. Although the invitation went out to all Badr leadership of the three branches of the governance, the meeting was presided over by sixteen members of the executive branch, the legislative body and board of trustees. read more
